Olivia and Her Little Dress

I decided to make a little dress for Olivia. My mother always made us dresses and I just didn't want to lose that tradition. I love to look back at photos where my sister and I were young and we had matching dresses with matching looks on our faces (like oh ma' are we done yet?). I totally get it now why my mom was so excited about dressing us up and taking photos.

Countdown to My Birthday! Woop Woop!

My Birthday is in 10 days! 

I'm always excited when the first day of June hits. It's just a fun month for me. The things I love most about June are beach trips, afternoon showers, grilling season, pool time, porch parties, late night walks, moon bathing, golden skin color, sandal/dress wearing and lemonade!! and so much more! I'll be 33 this year and I am happy happy happy!

We've been on a great schedule lately. Zach's loving his internship and Olivia is in a new group at school which she loves. I was watching her the other day and she has her first friend! It was so cute to watch. They were playing together on this little mini slide. She kept glancing at the little girl like what should we do next. My heart melted. I love to see her sharing her toys or smiling at other kids. It was worrying me that she kept clinging to us and was a bit fearful to interact. I'm happy to say that it's not the case anymore. She's got friends now and her teachers tell us she's enjoying the interaction with her peers much more and loves to DANCE! Olivia is a tiny little dancer! 

My schedule is wonderful too. I get to paint more and also have time to clean the house as well as take a yoga class. Wow! Six months ago, I would have never thought I'd ever have the time to do anything but care for Olivia. With each milestone, we get better and better with change in general and reaching some of our personal goals in between. Optimism Bias - watch it!

Little Miss O at 14/15 months

My little Olivia, what a sweetheart you are. You have such a sense of wonderment that your father and I love to watch. You are always ready for adventure and change.... an explorer at heart. We love to see you interacting with your peers and with adults. It looks like all the adults just can't get their eyes off of you. There's just something about you that people immediately go goo-goo over. Here are a few things we notice daily:

• when someone walks into the room or walks by the front of the house, you immediately wave and say "Hi" (in a sweet little voice)
• the bath, pool or just any kind of water to splash in gives you great enthusiasm... we know this by the swiftly waving of your hands, bouncing your body up and down and huge smile from ear to ear. 
• if we ask where your nose is, you point to your nose and then start clapping. we all join and clap with a YAY!! then you stick your tongue out.
• what a dancer you are! any music, any time and we see you boogie down. Oh' and you have this thing where you keep one leg stationary while the other leg taps which spins you around. Where did you learn that? hehe
• you love blueberry pancakes, anything potato, anything crunchy, broccoli, carrots, brown rice, pears, strawberries, goat milk and yogurt.
• the look you give us when you're talking Olivia language is so cute because you seem to think we know exactly what your saying. it's adorable.
• lover of all animals / which are all called DAW (Dog)
• anyone can pick you up after a brief introduction (always looking to us to make sure we're okay with it).
• 8 teeth with some molars just about to surface
• starting to give more hugs and closed mouth kisses ( haha, you use to open your mouth and cup our nose)
